*for those who noticed the price drop, we did an informal poll and found that our target customers. Families looking for a companion dog. Could manage the day to day costs of a pet. However the initial price was over whelming. Today’s economy takes a toll on everyone. I see it in my own grocery bill and the feed store bill. So we decided as we are breeding pups with the same care a show litter would get because we feel the companion dog should be just as carefully bred as the show pup. Then we should also make that puppy affordable to the average family as well. Our current price reflects what people told us when given 3 different prices and an option for other was a reasonable price they could afford. It’s really amazing what you can find out if you stand in front of a library or grocery with a clip board and approach people in a friendly manner.

A puppy is a 12 to 16 year commitment. Please think carefully before purchasing a puppy. Puppies and dogs require time, a great deal of quality time. They are also expensive to keep healthy. The cost of adopting a puppy is just the start of what you will need to pay for. Yearly vaccination and physicals, dental, heartworm prevention, flea prevention, worming, spay or neutering, training, That dreaded emergency be it a car accident, Poisoning, or if bred any number of pre and post pregnancy emergencies. None of which are cheap to fix. If you can not afford to feed a quality diet, provide veterinary care and deal with that emergency. You need to rethink purchasing a puppy of any kind.
